WHY I DO WHAT I DO
My career as a textile designer in New York City led me to my current path as a surface painter. Combined with a love of art history directed my research to specific subjects, Asian themed images and flowers.
Discovery of Japanese Ukiyo-e woodblock prints and the stories they tell matched up with figurative images that represented beautiful kimono patterns that I incorporate in my work. These influences continue to motivate me to record them on canvas, wood and silk using many different mediums.
A donation will be made to SPARCC of Sarasota.
Large gallery wrapped canvases will be rolled and shipped unless customer chooses additional shipping costs.
